Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of bar menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and specialty dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage food preparation stations efficiently during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
  • Collaborate with servers and bartenders to coordinate food service smoothly and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support catering or special event food preparation as needed, ensuring quality control from start to finish.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining or upscale bar settings.
  • Strong culinary skills with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures to prevent contamination.
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, or large-scale food service operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for quality control, sanitation, and customer service excellence.
